More futzing
Well, I have a color scheme for Yarinareth that I’m rather liking (it looks nothing like what’s up there now, by the way). I do realize why web designers say using web-safe colors is limiting, though. It is. Gee, nice color, I say as I pass a random site. Wonder what it is? Invariably it’s not web-safe.
I had the main-page design working on three different browsers early this morning. Briefly. Then I tweaked something, and now it’s not quite working on Opera or IE5. (Yo, right: 0 means right: 0, okay?) Sigh. I’ll figure out what’s wrong and fix it, but probably not today.
And of course on the bus this morning I thought of something else I want to do with the sidebar… (Hey, I just thought of how to do a three-column layout without messing up the two-column one I’ve got! Wicked!)
Then I get to figure out the sub-pages, which need quick-links menus, subtitles, and such. Whee, isn’t web design a gas!
(Actually, it is fun, I have to admit, especially when something finally works and looks cool.)
Oh, and IE5 still rots. In case you were wondering. Mozilla all the way! (Is IE6 really much better?)
When this is all done, I get to figure out the MT plugins I want to add to my installation. Check out what Mark is doing with MT-Macros. Wicked cool.
