… or maybe not
Well, so from this source and that we’ve got some extra money floating into the house, and I was for once in my life thinking of doing something utterly frivolous with it—a Spring Break trip to New Zealand.
I knew it wasn’t going to be a cheap whim. But, as I generally do, I had an idea in mind of how much I was willing to spend on incidentals like, say, airfare.
And then I went and looked at how much airfare was actually going to be. And I choked. It’s a semester’s tuition! Almost a year’s property taxes! About what our wedding plus honeymoon cost!
I can’t. I just can’t make myself spend that much. We have it. We can even afford to let that much money go. But I just can’t do it.
I know, I know, we should all have such dilemmas, eh? But deciding such dilemmas as this the way I have decided this one is how I got to have such dilemmas in the first place.
