No, no change
Four people sent me the answer to my grumpy query of yesterday. Doctors ask why you’re there because they want to know if you’ve had any sudden symptom changes or done anything recently to make the injury worse. Answers may also give a clue to the injury’s etiology.
(Which I think my doctor ignored, incidentally. She kept asking if I had pains coming down my arm, hoping to badger me into some sort of “yes” because it fit what she thought I had. Sorry. This has always been a typing injury, and I don’t do anything that would justify a tennis-elbow diagnosis.)
I’m going to run down to the drugstore for another thumb-immobilizing brace, because the one they gave me puts much too much pressure on my already-aching wrist. Let us hope that does an end-run around the compliance-with-treatment question.
I appreciate the concern that must have been one motivation to write to me a great deal. Thank you.
