Well, I will be going to ASIST ’07 in October. The IR-usability hands-on panel I was asked to participate in got through, and I’m looking forward to that because it will be fun—but the really most truly excellent part is that so did the poster-session proposal I put together for Five Weeks to a Social Library!
(Before you ask—yes, the rest of the Five Weeks crew saw and approved the proposal. And yes, this is substantially for whuffie, and I will be paying full conference fees, and I’m completely cool with that.)
I’m seriously chuffed. I wasn’t sure that one was going to make it, because I had to write the proposal before we’d actually done the program (which, as one reviewer astutely pointed out, meant the proposal didn’t discuss how the program had actually gone!).
So now I have to find out where one purchases those poster-panel things. I suddenly feel like seventh-grade science fair…
